Entourage Spontaneous shutting down

Entourage 2008 is spontaneously shutting down and restarting every day or
so. If I rebuild the database, will I lose categories and other items as in
Ent. 2004? 

I'm running a MBP 2.33 Ghz 3 GB RAM w/ OS X 10.5.6 and Entourage 2008 12.1.5
(081119).
