[Eug-lug] Need help with a 2.4 kernel question

I'm trying to help some engineers get a LLDP client running on an embedded 2.4
kernel. They are claiming that it won't run on the 2.4 kernel. I don't believe
them.

 

Does anyone know of an easily available distribution with a 2.4 kernel that I
can run on an Intel VM? I want to do some testing of my own.

 

LLDP runs directly on top of Ethernet. If you have any knowledge of packet/raw
sockets (AF_PACKET, PF_PACKET) especially in 2.4, I would love to talk with you
a little bit.
