You can't format at linux partitions in Windows but you can delete the partitions to reinstall. Right click My Comp, Manage, Disk Management. Delete everything that isn't FAT32/NTFS partition. --- On Fri, 7/9/10, erock23...@aol.com <erock23...@aol.com> wrote: From: erock23...@aol.com <erock23...@aol.com> Subject: [Eug-lug] getting closer but still no joy... To: euglug@euglug.org Date: Friday, July 9, 2010, 1:39 AM Well I finally managed to get as far as setting up the drive partition (with no further errors...don't know why, maybe the machine just likes being at home) and now I am getting errors suggesting that there are files on the intended logical partition that won't let me finish the deed. Anyone have any suggestions as to how I clear these files? For some reason I can't reformat the drive from within winblows XP. -E = -----Inline Attachment Follows----- _______________________________________________ EUGLUG mailing list euglug@euglug.org http://www.euglug.org/mailman/listinfo/euglug _______________________________________________ EUGLUG mailing list euglug@euglug.org http://www.euglug.org/mailman/listinfo/euglug
