Hi, I'm using mandrake 8.2 on a PPC G3 (ibook 2): cpu : 750CX temperature : 12 C (uncalibrated) clock : 499MHz revision : 34.20 (pvr 0008 2214) bogomips : 996.14 machine : PowerBook4,1 motherboard : PowerBook4,1 PowerBook2,2 MacRISC2 MacRISC Power Macintosh L2 cache : 256K unified memory : 256MB pmac-generation : NewWorld
The kernel is the default one as providedby mandrake: kernel-2.4.18.8.1mdk-1-3mdk ppp-2.4.1-3mdk I'm using the internal modem: macserial: i2c-modem detected, id: 1 PowerMac Z8530 serial driver version 2.0 tty00 at 0xd18c0020 (irq = 22) is a Z8530 ESCC (internal modem) tty01 at 0xd2b39000 (irq = 23) is a Z8530 ESCC Everything goes well if I connect to a normal ISP, but if I connect to a linux machine with mgetty+ppp after some minutes kernel errors occur. This happens either using kppp or wvdial.. any hints? Kernel message attached.
