People call me an optimist, but I'm really an appreciator..
When I was six years old and had scarlet fever, the first of
the miracle drugs, sulfanilamide, saved my life. I'm grateful
for computers and photocopiers...I appreciate where we've
come from.
Julian Simon (1933-1998)

Use your eyes as if tomorrow you would be struck blind:
Hear the music of voices, the song of a bird, as if you
would be struck deaf. Touch each object as if tomorrow
your sense of touch would fail-smell perfume of flowers,
taste with relish each morsel as if tomorrow you could
never smell or taste again.
Helen Keller
"Actions have consequences...first rule of life. And the
second rule is this - you are the only one responsible for
your own actions."
Holly Lisle
"Under all speech that is good for anything there lies a
silence that is better. Silence is deep as Eternity; speech is
shallow as Time."
Thomas Carlyle
