Thank's Edgar,

Works fine, just like an old fashion train toilet :-)
Now I see no reason to use Windows Explorer anymore.
Windows Explorer has a very nasty feature to try to connect to all "mapped"
servers here in Finland whether I'm on line and connected to them or not. This
means that Explorer freezes even if I try to open a simple document on the
local harddrive (laptop).

If anyone has experience with 7-zip I'm very interested.

Thanks again,
Bo

Please use the double quotes if the pathnames or filenames habe some space.
See below an example which works on my PC:

<clip>
[Associations]
*.pdf: "C:\Programme\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\Reader\AcroRd32.EXE" !f
*.doc: "C:\Programme\Microsoft Office\Office11\Winword.exe" !f <clip>

Subject: [FC] FCW file associations

Hi guys,

I'm trying to use file associations with fcw but have some problem to get it to
work.
Starting with Adobe reader, one problems seems to be spaces in the executables
full path.
Trying with %20 instead of the space don't seem to work much better.

From fc.ini
<clip>
[Associations]
*.7z: c:\winapp\util\fc\7za.exe l
[*.pdf: C:\Program%20Files\Adobe\Acrobat%207.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe !]
*.pdf: AcroRd32.exe !

[Viewer Associations]

[Editor Associations]

[Archiver:7-zip]
Compress=7za a -r
CompressListfileSwitch=@
Extract=7za x
ExtractWithoutPath=7za e
ExtractListfileSwitch=@
Delete=7za d
CompressDirSpec=!
ExtractDirSpec=!
<clip>

What work is the third line in associations when I copy the pdf file to same
directory where the Adobe reader is and hit enter there.

Next problem is 7-zip
I can only get the file listing to work (first line in associations).
The Archiver block has some for me obscure error.

If you have some nice working examples, please share it.

Thanks for you help,
Bo in Espoo, Finland
