Lycine is supposed to suppress, not eliminate, reproduction of the virus.
Apparently it has been in use for decades. It is an amino acid, so not
harmful. Googling just now I found a study that says it does not work.
Nevertheless, I am going to use it to try and protect my other cats. Destiny's
infection was never cultured, so might not be Herpe's anyway. Antibiotic seems
to not be working either. I am feeding cat food with a syringe and she is
going to the vet today for a consult on using steroids and Zander's Protocol.

May I ask – what is lycine that was mentioned for use in water dishes (not that
Topaz drinks out of dishes! But Peekers does.)

Thank you,

Ardy
