Could someone confirm that this is actually the same full product as the
standard Sibelius 6.

It is the full product -- I didn't take advantage of this particular offer, but I have taken advantage twice in the past. Once for myself and once for my son.

David is correct, but just one comment. My first version was Sib4, for which a very favorable price was negotiated for our faculty and students, and we got the Educational Version. (Again, the full product, but at a lower price.) When I upgraded to Sib5, I used a crossgrade through a private vendor, and it worked flawlessly. BUT, that was a regular version and not the Educational Version. So when I decided to upgrade to Sib6, I upgraded from Sib4 and got the Educational price once again.

What you need to know is that Sib's serial numbers are not actually "serial" numbers in the accepted meaning of the term. They are coded to indicate whether they are "regular" or "educational" versions. AND, when you upgrade, your new version adopts the same "serial" number as the version you're upgrading from. (That confused a number of us until it was clarified on the SibList by a Senior Project Manager, Daniel Spreadbury.)

This doesn't affect the present competitive upgrade price, but it will affect the cost of future upgrades IF you happen to qualify for the Educational/Church discount either now or in the future.

The good news is that Sibelius does not upgrade until they have made substantial and useful improvements, and they are quick off the blocks with the necessary free bug fixes and open about discussing any problems that DO show up.
