Under 1000us delay - Normal Mode 1000us - 4000us delay - Safe Mode 1Over 4000us Safe mode 2 or 3 (if it will run at all) I have heard some that the radio would totally stop at anything over 2000us , but have had others that only have minor dropouts with 10,000us . So it all varies system to system. Here is a hint, I have seen systems running with 1500us average n the DPC Checker, until the wireless card is turned off and see the DPC drop to under 200us. average.
Your mileage may vary.
Hope this helps, 73, Dudley WA5QPZ NJ1H wrote:
While setting up and testing a new system here, I did a search of the Flex Knowledge Center to see what typical DPC Latency Checker maximum values are.I was unable to locate any ranges of values to use as a reference. What values are other seeing and not experiencing detectable dropouts? (I don't mean for this to be a loaded question, but I am interested in the values others are seeing and the relationship to impact on observable dropouts or glitches.)My maximum is an occasional 395 usecs with no observable dropouts. Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 Windows 7 (64 bit) Both RX1 and RX2 on. Peak CPU usuage about 15%. Sample Rate: 192000 Buffer Size: 2048. CW sending seems very smooth at 30 WPM using Flex 5000 key input.73, Bill Bordy NJ1H_______________________________________________ FlexRadio Systems Mailing List FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ Knowledge Base: http://kc.flex-radio.com/ Homepage: http://www.flex-radio.com/ Message delivered to jhu...@austin.rr.com
