On the 20th of November a very nice demo of software defined radio
was scheduled at the San Francisco Amateur Radio Club.
The only sticking point is that my PC is VERY heavy (over 50#) so I
needed to find a laptop with appropriate hardware and either PSDR
loaded on it, or that I could load PSDR on. This went nowhere until
an East Bay ham volunteered his Mac which he uses with his F3K. But
yesterday his car died and he does not believe he can get it fixed on time.
So I (and the SFARC) need one of two things:
A. Someone who can bring an F3K-ready laptop and a 12v power supply
to the meeting (and preferably some line-powered speakers) OR
B. Someone who can driver from Martinez to the meeting and back,
giving a ride to our helper. The ride west should be early enough
that we can set up well in advance of the meeting to ensure all works well.
