Allen,Did you by chance update your radio firmware too? You should be on version 1.3.0.8, if you went to the Downloads and went to the latest firmware, you wound up loading a beta version 2.0.0.3, which will not run Version 1.18.3 of PowerSDR.. It's the best to always look at the Current Software box on the Home page of Flex Radio. All those versions will play with each other. The Download page is not coordinated as the Current SW box is ..

Tim, Thank you for clearing up the information on finding the legacy driver. I have now installed the legacy driver; however, that still did not solve the fatal erro message. I have also signed up for the FlexEdge reflector. I was under the understanding that the FlexEdge reflector was for new Flex development issues and not the existing Flex configuration. Now for the current issue:I am using PowerSDR v1.18.3, driver version v.3.4.5254, PAL v.3.4.5234 I have installed .NET 1.1 + the SP1 update. I am not getting the error message now that was included. The message that was in the attachment was as follows: X resourceat SerialPorts.SerialStream..ctor(String resource, INT32 baudRate, Parity parity, Int32 dataBits, int32 readimeout, Int32writeTimeout, Handshake, handshake, Boolean dtrEnable, Boolian rtsEnable, Boolean discardNull, Byte ParityReplace) at SerialPortts.SerialPort,Open() at SDRSerialSupportII.SDRSerialPort.CreateBoolean bit_bang_only) at PowerSRR.Console.set_CATEnabled(Boolean value) at PowerSRR.Setup.initCATandPTTprops() at PowerSRR.Console.InitConsole() at PowerSRR.Console..ctor(String[] args) at PowerSRR.Console.Main(String[] args)-----Original Message----- From: flexradio-boun...@flex-radio.biz [mailto:flexradio-boun...@flex-radio.biz] On Behalf Of Tim (W4TME) Sent: Sunday, November 15, 2009 9:09 AM To: flexradio@flex-radio.biz Subject: Re: [Flexradio] FLEX5000A PowerSDR not working after Upgrade from VISTA 64 to WINDOWS 7 64 First off, Win7 is not a fully supported operating system for running PowerSDR. See the OS compatibility statement. http://www.flex-radio.com/Support.aspx?topic=PowerSDR_Compatibility This reflector is designated for released software using supported operating environments. As such, all discussions about Win7 should be directed to the FlexEdge reflector, but for this case, we can continue this topic on this reflector because it might be beneficial for those wanting to upgrade to Win7, which I do not recommend until PowerSDR is fully supported on it. For more information about the FlexEdge Reflector, please see the following web page: http://www.flex-radio.com/Support.aspx?topic=Reflector_Description To sign up for the FlexEdge Reflector, use the FlexEdge Reflector User Management web page (http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexedge_flex-radio.biz) and go to the Subscribing to FlexEdge section. We need lots more detailed information What version of PowerSDR are you using? If it is 1.18.x, did you install .NET 1.1 + the SP1 update? Here are the instructions for changing to the legacy. http://kc.flex-radio.com/KnowledgebaseArticle50433.aspx Your Firewire host controller my have a chipset that has a Win7 driver that is specific for it and my not have the legacy version of the driver. Also, attachments are not allowed on the reflector, so the one with the second error message did not make it through. -Tim --- W4TME FlexRadio Systems - Info Management Admin.
