[Flexradio] Firewire problem- it's there, and then... it's not.

Hi,

Got my F3K in the mail yesterday, and took a little time this
afternoon to try it out.

It worked fine for quite awhile, I got VAC going and com0com, got
transmit going into the dummy load and it all worked pretty good with
a few easily solved issues along the way.

But then I decided to install my second monitor so I could keep the
radio controls up while working on dm780 and rearrange the desk a
little.

Upon rebooting, the F3K can't be found anymore. Opening the
"FlexRadio" blue icon gives "No devices found" Tried calling support
but they must be busy or out early.

I've tried:

- Checking the firewire cable at least 4 times. It's correctly
inserted, the only difference is that before it was coiled up (the
flex was right above the computer) and now it's stretched a little to
3 feet.

- Checked that my firewire controller is ok. The controller shows up
in windows device mgr with no conflicts.

- Removing the FlexRadio drivers, disconnecting the F3K from the
computer, installing the drivers, reconnecting, and powering up.
Nothing.

- I thought maybe my battery's 12.6v was not enough to get the device
to initialize and talk. So I boosted it with a charger to 13.6v and
this doesn't make any difference.

Everything else on the computer is plugged in right where it was
before I moved things. The only difference between A and B is a
second monitor is now on the desktop.

Is firewire really this flaky? Any ideas to try out?

Matt
