Hi Matt Its not that flakey.
Try unplugging the second monitor (the new one you just connected) from the back of the computer and turn it off. Then power up your 3000 and see if it is recognized. It could be that the new monitor is spitting out a lot of hash and is disturbing the accuracy of the data flowing on the firewire. I take it you didn't get the Granite Digital cable upgrade when you bought your 3000 (or did you)? 73 Neal Campbell Abroham Neal Software www.abrohamnealsoftware.com (540) 645 5394 NEW PHONE NUMBER Amateur Radio: K3NC Blog: http://www.abrohamnealsoftware.com/blog/ DXBase bug reports: email to ca...@dxbase.fogbugz.com Abroham Neal forums: http:/www.abrohamnealsoftware.com/community/ On Wed, Feb 3, 2010 at 7:03 PM, <kd0...@gmail.com> wrote: > Hi, > > Got my F3K in the mail yesterday, and took a little time this > afternoon to try it out. > > It worked fine for quite awhile, I got VAC going and com0com, got > transmit going into the dummy load and it all worked pretty good with > a few easily solved issues along the way. > > But then I decided to install my second monitor so I could keep the > radio controls up while working on dm780 and rearrange the desk a > little. > > Upon rebooting, the F3K can't be found anymore.
