Hello folks, AB2CD here, I've notice quite a few posts of late that express a level of frustration with those who have just begun operating their Flex radios. Granted, I don't push the envelope as many of the Flexers do, but at the same time I have an absolute stable system. It's not uncommon for me to receive an email from someone copying the mail. So I felt I'd share something uplifting to encourage those who may be experiencing some frustration, reassuring them that once they resolve their issues they will have the best set up out there. If you haven't yet purchased a Flex and you are not a computer guru, I strongly suggest getting Neal to build a dedicated computer for you. For a few bucks extra, he'll build you an absolute dynamite machine that will make your Flex experience absolutely plug-n-play. I have recommended him on numerous occasions and everyone is thrilled with his services. Here is an excerpt of such an email: Hi Jim, I do not normally send e mails out of the blue. However, tonight about 15 minutes ago I heard you on 40 Meters (7159), I have never heard a signal with this hi quality audio. Actually there was very few stations on, as I tuned across the band you came through so loud I reached for the volume control to turn it down. To make things a little better, my long 80/40 Meter dipole is laying down on the roof of my home, the 2 rope supports rope broke with our first ice snow storm. I am awaiting Spring before I can have someone climb the steep sides of our home to take down and install my G5RV. I use an old Kenwood TS-900 Transceiver which has the best audio I have ever heard until this evening. I have heard good reports on the Flex radio, but this is first time I actually heard one on air. I am very impressed. When it's to buy a new radio it will be a Flex! Ok sorry for going on, your radio has fantastic audio, by far more than the so called studio quality. 73 Karl Rittinger K3BSX _______________________________________________ FlexRadio Systems Mailing List FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ Knowledge Base: http://kc.flex-radio.com/ Homepage: http://www.flex-radio.com/
