Thanks for the quick reply! I guess this is good news in that I'm not stuck to 44100 sample rate. But there are some apps that are supposed to run at 11025. CwGet and WSJT both come to mind. They could both work with 44100 since it is 4 time the rate of 11025. I wonder if there is a script that could be run on the OS that will change the settings. Power Shell is one possibility. Or maybe even the .NET framework could be coded and added to PowerSDR.
Is this a Windows 7 only thing or does Vista also manage the default sample rates? I never used Vista and skipped right over it to Windows 7. 73, Steve N6VL -----Original Message----- From: flexradio-boun...@flex-radio.biz [mailto:flexradio-boun...@flex-radio.biz] On Behalf Of Steven L Hess Sent: Monday, February 08, 2010 9:53 PM To: flexradio@flex-radio.biz Subject: Re: [Flexradio] VAC stuck at 44100 Its Windows 7 Go in to the control panel under sound and manage audio devices. Set everything you can under manage audio devices to 48K including the under Recording tab. You should see both VAC cables under the recording tab too. Reboot. Check the sound properties under the in control panel again to make sure nothing has reverted to 41K if they have change them back to 48K. _______________________________________________ FlexRadio Systems Mailing List FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ Knowledge Base: http://kc.flex-radio.com/ Homepage: http://www.flex-radio.com/
