news!!
Just received word from Romelda, that Jack had
the feeding tube and tracheotomy tube removed yesterday. Also, he has been moved
to the 9th floor and will continue to receive physical therapy and learn to walk
again.
When Jim
Hankins was in CCU, on the same
floor with Jack in April, our family ask for special
permission for Jim to visit Jack in
ICU. We took Jim in a wheelchair to the door of his room, as we weren't allowed
in the room. Jim sat in the wheelchair and waved at
Jack, and I remember him saying "I'm praying for you to get well, my dear friend, I love you and see you
later!" Jack wasn't able to respond to Jim and we weren't sure when
and if he ever would. How great is the power of
prayer?
