Hi, I've just got the materials together to make a replacement hull for my PBK24 folder. I'm using PVC/polyester cloth, and plan to make it in seven panels, joined at the chines. My dilemma is whether to do this on the upturned frame of the boat, hand sewing the panels edge to edge - Or whether to cut the panels to shape, and stitch them together off the frame. I will be hand sewing the lot - I don't even own a sewing machine! I want a really snug fit. Does anyone have experience/insights into this?
