Hello, I am considering bringing my mother form California to live here. I am looking for a nursing home that can take care of a person that has stroke but is doing fairly well. Her major difficulties are, not being able to organize her food in her mouth and then not being able to swallow very well. She is a bit confused at times but often very clear and alert. She is a bit weak but has no physical debilitation from the stroke. One problem that seems to be more acute is that being a nurse she does not want to be in a nursing home so I am looking for something that offers a slightly different look and feel but with good care. In addition she does not have any Drs in the area so a nursing home that has a good group of Drs that generally make rounds and take care of the patients would be helpful at least at first until other options could be worked out. I would prefer close to Framingham since I live here. Thanks so much for the input. Tom
