Jeff Christen-Mitchell showed up at our Boulder luncheon. Jeff hails from
Missouri and has been active in marijuana legalization. A search of the
internet shows his past activities. Jeff has been a Libertarian for as long
as we've been a party. I think he moved here (two years ago) because we have
ballot access. Hard to say, but we will keep pinging him to find out what
he's up to. Jeff is on this (Freedom-EDU list).

It looks like Jeff will run for commissioner of district one in Boulder.
This is currently Paul Danish's seat. While Will Toor (Boulder's Mayor) is
still pondering, rumor has it that he will wait until April to do so. Toor
will have to step down as mayor when he announces his candidacy for
commission, so it appears that he's trying to keep his hand in the works for
as long as he can.

Nabil Karkamaz, who owns Nabil's on the Pearl Street Mall is going to make
another run for Boulder City council. Nabil is a Syrian Jew who loves
politics and is highly educated. He also loves Libertarians, and will
support us. Paul Danish and I eat lunch there at least once a month. Great
discussions.
Go and have a meal there and talk to Nabil.

I've been re-working my paultiger.com website. It sucked in major ways, and
may still, but at least it doesn't look like a data print out any more (a
hold over from my clerk's race). Green is my favorite color, so don't
confuse me with a greenie-weenie when you see it. http://www.PaulTiger.com
I changed some of the addressing so that the feedback form goes to my CU
address. This will help me respond faster to queries. After the state
convention I will need to get off the LD address altogether.
Mike Lewinski (cc'd here) runs my web host, and if things go right with
funding I will get him to set up addressing for us at my domain. Consider
RockyNet a friend to Libertarians, and send him some biz.

Thanks to those of you that wrote letters to the Daily Camera about lack of
coverage. None were printed.
But this one was fun at least:

"Headline lacked some precision

Regarding your Jan. 2 headline, "Bush up on economy," you left out the word
"screws."

MIKE RYDER, Louisville"

I talked with our own Scott Replogle before last Monday's luncheon. He'd
like to be more active and come to lunches. How about we try to have a few
of them out his way. Maybe a Cheng's?
