Campaigns - this comes from Betty Gibbs, president of the Land Use Coalition

Betty,

The scamera is not under the control of the commissioners, so you can give
up on the paranoia.
Tom Mayer tells me that he stopped subscribing and avoids reading it in the
office, because it makes him hopping mad. Paul Danish hates corporate owned
newspapers as a general rule, but it is published in his district and feels
obligated to read it. He isn't happy with them either. Of course, no one
knows what King Ron thinks, because he doesn't speak, and when he does he
can't be trusted.

No, I didn't see that. Thanks for sending it.
Occasionally I will see a letter in the Camera from someone from out of the
state. So when they pretend like they only accept letters from Boulder, it
seems like they are using that as an excuse.

They publish very few letters from the LUC as well. Richard Lefcourt had
one printed recently. It was two very short paragraphs. He is very good at
getting right to the point and making very pointed comments.

If the new regime there is trying to have a more local focus, will it still
be business as usual - reporting only the liberal view , or will they start
printing other views as well. The editorial board has the power, and if
they are under control of the Commissioners (as it seems to me from my
cynical paranoid view), we know how that will go.

Betty
