I've seen that problem before, with Provider-1. My support told me to
increase those numbers to 1024, and try that, but like you, I still saw
the error, although not as often. I increased the numbers again to 2048,
and since then I haven't had any problems.

However, based on your other posts, I believe you have a _lot_ more CMAs
and policies than we do, so I would try changing them to 4096, or maybe
even higher.

Subject: [FW-1] "failed to open file "objects_5_0.c" too many open
files" error

I get this error when pushing policy from a CMA to a pair of
Enforcement Module running on Nokia. I have Provider-1 FP3 on Solaris 9
on 3550 Hardware (Quad CPU with 16GB of RAM).

Checkpoint recommended that we increase the file descriptor to 2048 in
/etc/system file:

set rlim_fd_cur = 2048
set rlim_fd_max = 2048

Save the change and reboot the machine.

I still see this error eventhough not as often as before.

Anyone has seen this before? Thanks.
