[Ganglia-general] gmond not starting

Hi
after the reboot the gmond is  not starting,

>/etc/init.d/gmond start

Starting GANGLIA gmond: Usage: /usr/sbin/gmond {start|stop|restart|status}
                                                           [FAILED]

I tried with
> /usr/sbin/gmond start
Starting GANGLIA gmond: Usage: /usr/sbin/gmond {start|stop|restart|status}
                                                           [FAILED]
>service gmond start
Starting GANGLIA gmond: Usage: /usr/sbin/gmond {start|stop|restart|status}
                                                           [FAILED]


I am using the following package on sl5 machine

rrdtool-1.4.5-1.el5.rf.x86_64
ganglia-3.1.7-3.el5.rf.x86_64
ganglia-gmetad-3.1.7-3.el5.rf.x86_64
ganglia-gmond-3.1.7-3.el5.rf.x86_64
ganglia-web-3.1.7-3.el5.rf.x86_64
httpd-2.2.3-53.sl5.3.x86_64
php-5.1.6-27.el5_7.5.x86_64

Any help?
