Hi all,

The ganglia modules that gather metrics about connections is taking a lot
of CPU when the server is under high load (especially when the server has a
lot of TIME-WAIT connections).

This seems to be simply due to the use of netstat command that eats a CPU.
Is there any plan to move to something faster like ss for connection stats?
ss -s could probably give all the necessary info much faster.

If there are no plan, is there a way to contribute to the project to
improve this?

Thanks,
Maxime
