prodromal stage). It take the virus about 3-9 days to incubate within
the body and develop blisters (vesicles - in scientific terms) And in my
opinion, you shouldn`t obsess as to which guy you think have might given
you the condition, because it looks like quite the reverse of that
situation !!! With you having suffered from Herpes Simplex infection
before, you are already harbouring the condition, and likely that YOU
MIGHT HAVE SPREAD IT TO THEM! Everyone reading this, please note, this
is the exact situation that spells out problems arising from unprotected
sex (oral or anal) - Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV) Infection is a commonly
spread Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD). There can never be an
overemphasis on Protected Sex, ever ! As for getting Recurrent HSV
infection treated, the condition is self limiting usually, and the
blisters will crust and heal off within 1-2 weeks. Avoid touching them
with your fingers and itching elsewhere, as that can cause its spread.
Absolutely avoid intimate contact with others when you have the
blisters. And if the blisters (infection) recurs very frequently, then
you`d need to take anti-viral medications (strictly under prescription

Now friends I am confused! 1. Is it that the guy I had sex and kisses
twice in gap of 01 month has he given me the herpes! On Wednesday! 2.
Or the guys I sucked gave me herpes! on Thursday! 3. Or is it just the
food allregy from Saturday Lunch! (Remember my friend had severe food
poisoning after 01 day , and the doctor said its food allergy) I am
eating in restaurants for like last 12 years almost everyday! 4. Or is
just that I always had herpes and it came out due to the cold weather!
I remember very vaguely that whenever I use to get fever blisters
whenever few times I got fever during teenage times! Are there any
clinics in Mumbai who do the tests I am coming next month? as I don't
want to pass it to my partner when I come to Mumbai! Please advice,
can still go on having Oral sex (Sucking off) because thats what I
really enjoy, I was never into anal before, but only the couple of
experiences which I mentioned above in last 01 month ! But I promise I
will never have anal sex without having the guy to wear protection.
Please help! as I am very tensed and ashmed that some people might

Excellent advise Dr. Arjun!
Rehan you are 39 and seem to be literate/educated, judging by your
email. You have heard of possible modes of transmission of STDs and HIV.
Yet the following points in your email amaze me:
* You have sex "without protection".
* You have sex with two/three random 20 year old strangers and are
"sure he is clean".
* Your false sense of modesty, you are "very tensed and ashamed that
some people might notice it on my face! and raise doubts".
Rehan I can't even say, "grow up!" since you are almost old enough to be
the father of that 20 year old whom you had unprotected sex with. You
are a danger to gay society in Bahrain. Don't they have inhuman laws
against gays in that country?
You will, most probably, spread the disease that you have incubating
inside you to multiple people when land up in Mumbai next month, since
your brain seems to lie squarely between your thighs and below your
navel. Whatever advise you get here or elsewhere, the chances are you
will want to "still go on having Oral sex" when you get your horny self
to Mumbai. You seem to have a "partner" in Mumbai who, I presume, has
better horse-sense than you and engages in safer sex EVERY TIME with his
sex partners here in India. And if that partner is reading this I shall
advise him to delete your contact details from his records and stay as
far away from you as possible.
Rehan, apart from following all the advise given by Dr. Arjun and also
getting yourself thoroughly checked at a good hospital in
Bahrain/Mumbai, you will need to go to a gay friendly Psychiatrist: your
reckless sexually promiscuous behavior needs a Psychiatrist's attention
immediately. Please visit the Humsafar Centre at Vakola, Santa Cruz the
day you land in Mumbai. Have you been tested for HIV in the last six
months?
And Rehan, I am sure you have a profile on Planet Romeo (possibly more
