Uh, bad luck. The GCC version you have seems to be too buggy. Anton 
succeeded on PowerPC64 with GCC 4.1.2. Since you are stuck with Mac OS 
X 10.4.x, you can't go to XCode 3.1, which has GCC 4.2.0 as option.
