Dear Joe,

My name is Masami Kikuchi (Mr), an independent Japanese
developer/producer of live and interactive cultural exchange programmes
for distance education and community empowerment, using
videoconferencing systems, in and from Japan.

I am also a member of Satellite Application and Promotion Committee of
Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). Further, I am currently
planning a series of programmes for distance education in English
language in China, using my expertise of video-communication over
satellites, in association with a professor at China Central Radio & TV
University, Beijing, PRC.

As far as I know, there is no official or public programme for distance
education using satellite for the moment, and I am in the process of
realizing such opportunities with the western regions (or so-called)
minority areas of China.

If you would like to know further, I can recommend some people in
distance education and satellite communications (China Satellite);
and/or we can collaborate in such fields as distance education,
satellite communication, video-communication, and English education in
China.
