For the general population, I concur. But just as a datapoint, at Hosstraders (hamfest, with a distinctly technically-minded audience), people were much more likely to sit down and try things. Just FYI. > Still good to have a laptop showing what it looks like for a quick glance. I have access to a Dell laptop with a 17" display that I think I could adapt to the cause. It looks real nice. My big concern is battery life; the giant screen sucks down juice like a Major League Baseball pitcher. Will there be a power source we can tap? 120 VAC would be ideal. 12 VDC from a car works but is suboptimal. > Of course if a Fedora ambassador/etc wanted to represent a different > distro it'd be more that welcome. To be fair, I'll ask if Red Hat can cough up some Fedora discs. If they don't, their loss. > The co-op hosts workshops on different topics, in Ithaca we had a lot of > success with Greenstar (greenstar.coop) doing similar functions there. Sounds like a pretty cool idea. -- Ben _______________________________________________ gnhlug-org mailing list gnhlug-org@mail.gnhlug.org http://mail.gnhlug.org/mailman/listinfo/gnhlug-org/
