Are you using an administrative user for all of this?
You must use a normal user for anything to do with IP addresses. There is no domain and no IP address associated with an administrative user.
The lines shown in red at the top of the web page reporting IP address information are not shown for administrative users. You cannot log in as an administrative user using the client protocol.

Thanks for replying 1st of all.
On a client machine, I turn on my Java 1.4.1 console while loading up the gnudip login page. I proceed to login with a testing account. The java console does not pop up any messages.
Your second suggestion, I used the client tool provided in the gnudip package, one that's enclosed within the 'webclient.zip' file. I alter the .ini file to store my testing account login details and direct it to my gnudip server (ie. gnudipserver.com/dns/cgi-bin/gnudip.cgi). When I attempt to update my IP via this client tool, it says at the bottom of the client tool...."Invalid Login". But I don't know why because I can login via the web interface, just that there's no reading of my IP going on in the web interface, and it doesn't allow me to update my IP within the gnudip server from the web interface.
Could this be a User Settings issue? As I mentioned before, I know my dynamic updating works as I've tested it via the 'nsupdate' command.
Any thoughts??

Hi,
Would it be possible that the java applet is not loading correctly within the webpage? Try turning on the java console to see if any error messages popup.
Another thing to try is to see if using a client application rather than the webpage works, this will narrow down whether it is your NS configuration or something to do with the website.

I have recently set up the gnudip-2.3.5 package on a Linux 8 machine with BIND 9. I have checked with nsupdate that the dynamic updating works and I have a .jnl file for my one and only domain which is to be dynamically updated.
The problem is this: After I goto the Login page and I log in with a testing account, I am NOT seeing, on the page after logging in, the lines like -
"Hostname xxx.yyy Currently Points to 12.34.56.78....."
"The computer that connected to GnuDIP has IP address 12.34.56.78....."
All I see below the Page title is the "User Options" section, and then a "Set Quick Login URL" button.
What do you think is the problem here?? Appreciate any sort of hints. Thank you kindly.
