Jay, On my version of W7 the tmpdir() function does obey the temp variable for location for creating the temp files. In fact, it does successfully create the files, but still apparently returns an error to the program. Anyway, I downloaded mingw C compiler and make utility. If you have a makefile that is close, I would apprectiate the help.
