One end of the cord was tied to a tree and each brother took turns trying to place the noose on the neck of the other, who had to dodge the effort. (GT) SOBHRAJ'S SOJOURN IN GOA: Goa has since been a haven for international crooks, drug peddlers and even paedophiles besides that vanishing tribe of "children of God" called the hippies. Goa's hospitality is such that even paedophiles like Jorg Harry Ringlemann, who is on his way out of the state, and Freddy Peats, who is counting his last days on a hospital bed, evoke sympathy. These were the people who took Goa and Goans for granted. Yet, one international crook, who rendez-vous with Goa had proved costly, is none other than Charles Sobhraj, who has been convicted to undergo life imprisonment by a Nepal court for murdering an American woman in 1975. (Edit in GT) WHY DIDN'T SOMEBODY ASK? As Gomantak Times discovered, basic questions on how the man (Ringlemann) managed to covert himself into a Hindu by just a notary declaration, how he married an Indian girl and the managed to adopt a child within six months on the ground that he was childless. Now since his wife is pregnant presumably with his child, the couple did not need to adopt on that ground at all.
