Here we have it.....We now have Pope Mario the Great defending his version of What the church can do and what it should do. I do not believe that the Pope or any man has the right to annul marriages, and if this is so, then all those whose marriages are annulled cannot receive communion. The Church itself is causing these anomalies by granting these annulments possibly as a political ploy to appease specially powerful political and other persons who would care two hoots if they didn't get their marriages annulled by the church and continue their sinful relationships anyway. For consistency sake, Why wasn't King Henry the Eighth granted an annulment??? If he were granted one, Protestantism would have had minimal effect on the faith. These are therefore double standards and I stand by my views Pope Mario. Why does not the Bishop excommunicate Kennedy ? Is he afraid that this will cause other Catholics who hold similar views form leaving the church if he does this?
