If this is true, it would be only the second time, as far as I am aware, of HCN allowing hooks into their software. That must have cost Pfizer a mozza to have implemented.Yes it is. Today I had a call from a Pfizer subcontracted RN who is phoning GPs to check that they are running MD2 before they post a CD with a decision making tool. She explained that the tool will create a list of pts who qualify to take certain Pfizer cardiac and cholesterol drugs due to what their (sql query?) finds after it trawls the surgery database. A list of names will be produced and a pop up will appear each time Dr accesses the file, to suggest that certain drugs be prescribed due to their recent pathology and other measurements!
Decision making tools have well and truly arrived!
Isn't it great? The doctor no longer has to make a decision. David _______________________________________________ Gpcg_talk mailing list Gpcg_talk@ozdocit.org http://ozdocit.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/gpcg_talk
