Walk into the Street Life of Delhi

Salaam Baalak Trust, a charity working with street children, has
developed an exciting tour walk through the enchanting street life
of Delhi. Nobody knows Delhi's streets better than the young
children from this organization who will be your guides! The streets
were their only home until the trust offered them a chance at a new
life. Now fully trained as guides, these spirited youngsters will
take you on an insider's guide to the colourful street-life around
the New Delhi Railway Station.

These boys have been fully involved in the tour from the beginning
and were given intensive training in English and communication
skills and have today become trained guides taking ownership of the
tour. They will take you through the streets sharing with you the
journey of their lives. It is a two-hour tour and is open for people
from all walks of life- tourists, school children, university
students, local population from Delhi/ NCR, corporates, volunteers
and development professionals. The walk was initiated and developed
by British volunteer John Thompson who has been working with the
children on the project for the past 6 months.
