Hi,

Please appologise myself for maybe obvious questions.
Is there a way to fit a model variogram by your own function?

I think this is not possible. You have to use one of the (large number of) functions provided by Gstat.

Is there a way to apply different model functions to different intervals of h (distance).

Not to different intervals. But it is possible to _sum_ functions (i.e. nested variograms), e.g.:
0.2 Nug(0) + 12Sph(150) + 14Exp(2000)
