Hi Miha (and list) I replicate this error running the R library version of gstat I downloaded in late March. Using the nmax argument to set the number of observations used for kriging worked (and works) fine for me. maxdist is not supported, however, although it does show up in the function source itself for both krige() and gstat(). I'd guess it's not being translated properly to the 'radius' parameter in the gstat 'data' function via whatever magic connects the R functions to the underlying (c?) code.
