Hi, Ori and I (Ha'makor's board) discussed some issues about the planned "Welcome to Linux" lectures. As we understand, there will be one set of lectures that would be (more or less) simultaneously given in Haifa, Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
We plan to open a special website for the coordinated lecture series on Ha'makor's server with slides, lecturer information, and lecture dates in all three locations, including travel info for all 3 locations. The proposed address for this site is http://www.w2Linux.org. If you could think of a better address that's open for registration, please suggest it. Also, we will open mailing lists for the planning and coordination of the events (one list for all clubs), and for the general public (one for each location). The coordinaiton list is already created. You can subscribe by sending mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Also, we plan to provide CDs of Kazix and Ehad (or similar distros) for sale in all 3 locations (for Tel-Aviv and Jerusalem we'll have someone from the club in charge of the sale of CDs). Another thing is we want to get sponsors for buying ads in national newspapers (Ma'ariv, Yediot, and Ha'aretz) for the events. The ads will mention the dates and general locations of the lectures, and will invite the general public to attend for free.
