Hey!

I'm going to be in NYC from May15-22, at Bnei Jeshrun (BJ) for the conversion beit din of one of my students who has jumped through all of the hoops and still wants to be part of The Tribe. As her tutor, I shall be there for her beit din, her mikvé and her Shajarit Shabat Aliá.

While in NYC, from May 16-21, if there is any one (or more) of you who might find it amusing to have me give a talk, chat, lecture, round-table, whatever, (with or without Power Point and electronic junk), about founding and running the Sinagoga /La Javurá/ (Valencia, Spain) over these last 20 years, I'm your girl. At Congregation of Moses in K'zoo (Michigan), 2006, I gave a jewish-spanish-modern cooking class/talk which turned out pretty good, if I do say so myself. (I did, however, bring along spanish kosher wine, just in case it all went pear-shaped; I am very big on back-up plans and punting).

I'm not looking for money. Tout au contraire, I have this pressing need to talk about the experience of building a synagogue from the inside out on the Dark Side of the Moon. I'm pretty much game for anything, anywhere, (almost) any time with or without lecturn. I must be at the beit din/mikvé on Wednesday as well as at BJ for shajarit shabat; but, both Wed and Sat evenings are free. Big group or coffee clutch, I will be a happy camper.

If anybody wants to take the bait, just let me know (off the list) and I'll hand out all the details and whatever else you might want to hear and/or know. And even so, _no matter what_, you are still all invited to Shajarit Shabat on the 20th of MAY of 2017 at BJ to say Hi! and give a hearty welcome to Pilar Diez Rodriguez de Einstein who will have an aliá and chant her part of the parashá for all to hear.

If any of you have activities planned during that week that are open to the general public; I would love to hear about them and maybe just pop on by to say howdy.

P.S. I get to NYC on May 15 all jet-lagged and cranky, but I will be bushy-eyed and bright-tailed the next day. I leave in the early afternoon on May 22. I'll be staying at the International Youth Hostel, 891 Amsterdam Avenue, NYC, just off subway Line 1, (103rd Street Station).
