outsourcing query

Hello fellow catalogers,

Do any of you have experience working with outsourcing vendors?  Here at 
Maryland we're considering our options, and I'd really like to learn 
from your collective wisdom:  what types of materials did you find to be 
better/easier to outsource (i.e. Rabbinic vs. general; Hebrew vs. 
Yiddish; monographs vs. serials); do's and don'ts when working with the 
vendor; general things to keep in mind, etc.
