ve-Hazal vs. va-Hazal

Another example of vocalization differences between earlier editions of
Even-Shoshan and the 2003 edition:

Earlier, Even-Shoshan vocalized “Hazal” with hatef patah in the
first syllable; now, he puts kamats gadol in the first syllable.

This doesn’t alter our romanization of “Hazal,” but it means that
if ve-, be-, le-, or ke- precede, they must be vocalized as
such--ve-Hazal, le-Hazal, etc.

Formerly, va-Hazal, la-Hazal, etc. were correct.
