Referring to the country's Gas Balance, despite various gas field development projects in the country, Indonesia will face gas deficit in 2019 (source: ESDM as depicted in the following two figures). In respect to this, the new regulation also clearly stated that gas import is permitted and this new policy will open up vast opportunities for LNG players including shipping and supporting industry.
