Yep, so do I. for a couple years now. Was wondering if there was a fix. :-) I'll scope the error code the next time it pops up.

Our users send to Symantec's SMSSMTP in front of IMail 7.07. We have Outlook XP and 2003. When Outlook returns 0x8004201B, I tell users to restart Outlook. adamc _____ From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of SJ.Stanaitis Sent: Wednesday, March 07, 2007 09:46 To: Imail_Forum@list.ipswitch.com Subject: [IMail Forum] Outlook / IMail 8.22 Problem This is a problem which seems to occur regardless of the Outlook version used. 'The operation timed out waiting for a response from the sending (SMTP) server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).' The machine in question is running Outlook 2003 with all the latest packs and patches. It can telnet to port 25 on the Imail 8.22 server, but any attempt to talk to the SMTP server fails with the above message unless I exit Outlook and re-open it. It's odd as heck. I've done some looking on Google and it supposedly was fixed with SP2, as I'm running SP2 I'm lost. Not sure if this could be something unique to Imail either. any ideas?
