Assalamu aleikum. While Muslimahs in fascist Holland are denied unemployment benefits for losing jobs because they wear burqa (see the third article below), a Tunisian murtadd is plotting to deprive Muslim schools of their right to require that high school teachers come to work fully dressed. Murtadd Samira Haddad is already 32 years old and unmarried for reasons which are not hard to guess. Born in Tunisia, she lives in Holland. Only at her age is she now trying to find work as a teacher of Arabic language. It's unknown what profession she had before. The murtadd recently graduated from the University of Amsterdam where as part of her teacher training she was assigned to an "Islamic" school in Rotterdam, one of those "progressive" "moderate" "Islamic" schools that are encountered far too often these days. The shameless administrators did not require Haddad to dress. After graduation, Haddad followed up with a brief part-time stint at Nova College in Haarlem, but they only assigned her a few hours. The murtadd then applied this past June (2005) to Islamitisch College Amsterdam. The Islamitisch College Amsterdam (Islamic College Amsterdam - ICA) is a Dutch education ministry certified high school that was founded just four years ago - in 2001 - and has about 750 students. Many, perhaps most, of its students speak languages other than Dutch. Although not as freewheeling as the Rotterdam school, the ICA has "progressive" "moderate" problems with its administrators, too. The administrators improperly exempt non-Muslim teachers from dressing while on school grounds. Consequently children are faced each day with poor role models who openly reject not only our deen, but public morality as well. And now this improper exemption has become the "basis" for banning hijabs for teachers in Muslim schools. When Murtadd Samira Haddad applied for a post teaching Arabic language at ICA, she was given an interview to which she came undressed. She was asked if she was a Muslimah and she answered "Yes". Then she was asked why she was undressed. She stated that her father was from Tunisia where the regime has prohibited publicly wearing hijab - as though that had any bearing on the issue. When she was informed that Muslimahs must wear hijab - but non-Muslims are not so required - Samira Haddad apostasized from Islam on the spot and demanded a teaching post as a non-Muslim teacher. - Evidence (in Dutch): http://www.nd.nl/newsite/artikel.asp?id=p655 - note: visit Babelfish for a webpage translation from the Dutch at: http://babelfish.altavista.com/ Needless to say, the interview did not go well and the shameless murtadd was not hired. Haddad then filed a frivolous complaint with the fascist Dutch regime, whining that she was being discriminated against on the basis of her "religion". With completely circular reasoning, the murtadd argued that non-Muslims didn't have to wear hijab at the school, so why should she? Not surprisingly the intellectual equals of Theo Van Gogh agreed. While the commission that heard the complaint has no enforcement power, it is now only a question of time before the racist Dutch enact legislation to ban hijabs from teachers in Muslim schools. They've done even worse than this to Muslims in the past. See https://www.irr.org.uk/cgi-bin/news/open.pl?id="39 The paraphrases of ayats below relate to the Muslim requirement to wear hijab. Haddad is a 32-year-old Muslim who grew up in Tunisia. She was not hired by the ICA last May because she refused to cover her head with a scarf. The school's authorities insisted that the school's statutes oblige female teachers to wear a headscarf in order to act as an example for the pupils. "If Miss Haddad was to declare she is no longer a Muslim then she would in principle come and work for us," a member of the school board said in October. The Equality Commission said this statement showed the refusal to hire her was wrong. The chairman of the commission it indicated the school was less concerned about a person casting off their faith than casting off the headscarf. The commission said the school should not have refused the woman on the basis of this "prohibited distinction". In some cases, the commission emphasises, demands could be made in relation to an employee's clothing. But only when that was necessary to achieve the aims of the school. The ICA said it was "not happy" about the commission's judgement. "The commission has asked us to respond to the ruling by 13 December. We have nothing to say until then." The commission does not have the power to compel the school to hire Haddad. http://www.expatica.com/source/site_article.asp?subchannel_id==1&story_id==25353&name==School+%27wrong+to+insist+teacher+wear+a+headscarf%27 --- (2) 'School Cannot Order Teacher To Wear Headscarf' Netherlands Info Services 16/11/05 http://www.nisnews.nl/public/161105_2.htm AMSTERDAM, 16/11/05 - The Islamitisch College Amsterdam (ICA) has unlawfully rejected an applicant for a teaching job, the Equal Treatment Committee (CGB) ruled yesterday. The woman refused to wear a headscarf, which was unacceptable for the secondary school. In April, Samira Haddad was invited to the Islamic school for an interview after having submitted an open application for the subject Arabic. "The first official question was whether I was a Muslim. When I answered in the affirmative, there was a surprised reaction as to why I did not wear a headscarf," said the woman earlier on local broadcaster AT5. The woman, born in the Netherlands, explained the school that her father was Tunisian. "In Tunisia, there is a ban on wearing veils and headscarves in public". Within ten minutes, the interview was over. "They pointed out that Muslim women are obliged to wear headscarves at school." The school does not require non-Muslims to wear a headscarf. According to the CGB this is discrimination based on religion. If the school also compels non-Muslims to wear a headscarf it may not be acting in violation with the law. The CGB is an advisory court whose rulings are not binding. http://www.nisnews.nl/public/161105_2.htm --- (3) Muslim woman in hijab legal fight By Anthony Browne The Times October 20, 2005 http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,13509-1833983,00.html Samira Haddad, 32, a Dutch Muslim woman, is taking legal action against The Islamic College in Amsterdam after it refused to employ her because she did not want to cover her head. Her insistence on her legal right not to wear a headscarf, or hijab, is a contrast to the campaign fought by Muslim groups across Europe for the right to wear one. The case comes at a time when the Dutch Government is proposing a partial ban on the burka, including in state schools. The city of Utrecht has recently begun withdrawing unemployment benefits from Muslim women who cannot get jobs because they wear burkas to job interviews. In a hearing this week, Ms Haddad said that she was told in an interview for a job as an Arabic teacher that because she was a Muslim she had to wear a headscarf if she wanted to work at the school. She explained that she was from Tunisia, where the wearing of hijabs is banned, and she would not feel comfortable doing so. The Islamic College insists that the Koran requires all Muslim women to wear the hijab. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,13509-1833983,00.html ------------------------ Yahoo!
