Guarantee the quality of basin and prospect evaluations using the most
appropriate studies and geological models.
Guarantee the consistency and integration of the information deduced from
geological data in Geoscience studies; put forward a judgment regarding the
assessment of uncertainties and risks related to geological techniques.
Contribute to building / updating of the databases and knowledge of the
TOTAL Group.
Ensure the distribution and development of exploration techniques used in
affiliates and by partners, especially those used by junior engineers and
technicians.
Contribute to enhancing investments through a continual search for methods
and tools that can optimize the efficiency of exploration within the group.
This position works within the Gulf of Mexico Synthesis Group and in
relation with the Geological / Data Management Department. It also includes
participation in the interpretation of the Gulf of Mexico at a basin scale
and will involve the gathering and interpretation of the geological data for
each project;
Required Skills: Good level of: . Expertise in the techniques and tools used
in geological interpretation . knowledge of geological models . knowledge of
geological techniques and tools used in the discipline . knowledge of
geophysical techniques and tools . knowledge of related geological
sciences . proficiency of computer use . cost and deadline
management-Petroleum economics;

Through geological and geophysical data interpretations, contribute to the
appraisal of risks and technical issues relates to the evaluation of new
projects and the location of exploration wells.
Guarantee the integration of information deduced from geophysical
information in geo-science studies, in the compliance with codes of
practice. Issue an opinion on the appraisal of uncertainties related to the
use of these techniques.
Contribute to construction / consolidation of the Group's databases.
Ensure the spread and development of geophysical techniques, particularly in
regards to hands-on training.
This position works within the Gulf of Mexico Synthesis Group, and in
relation with the Geophysical Department. It also includes participation in
the interpretation of seismic data (picking and mapping) in complex
structural areas;

Required Skills: Good level of: . proficiency in geophysical interpretation
techniques and tools . knowledge of geological models . knowledge of
techniques and tools for seismic processing . knowledge of related
Geoscience disciplines . knowledge of seismic acquisition techniques and
tools . knowledge of specialist geophysics techniques and tools . knowledge
of geostatistical techniques and uncertainties . data processing (UNIX-NT
environments) . data management;
