Leyna is build on the top of Cocoon so, you should try to build a cocoon 
bridge for J2.
What kind of cms features are you looking for ? Did you review Graffito 
(http://incubator.apache.org/graffito/) ? Graffito is based on the same 
J2 architecture (Spring, same security service,  ...) but it is still 
under dev.
