Hello everyone, I hope that someone can point me to some documents which help me getting started with jetspeed, which I downloaded and installed correctly (1.3a1) At the moment I am slighlty at a loss due to the number of components in the jetspeed framework. As far as I understood it so far, Turbine is pretty much encapsulated by jetspeed. Please correct me if I am wrong. But I guess I need some more info about ECS. Unfortunately the ecs website does not provide any online information about the API. Does someone have a pointer to that? And how do castor etc. link to jetspeed? In general I try to write an application/portal which enables some users (authentication) to review incoming emails from certain accounts (connection to mail) after certain flexible criteria (configuration stuff). I would already be happy if someone could point me a little bit in the right direction as to how I can create a Login Screen which preferably uses XML and XSL and validates the login information against a database content which also includes other properties of the user. I know how to do this theoretically with servlets but with jetspeed I have the feeling that I would reinvent the wheel in terms of writing a database pool, a mapping from objects to sql and vice versa, using the javax.mail package to obtain the mail.
