Dear Stefan, thanks for your suggestion. I had read the document already, but it does not really provide the information I want. And to make matters worse, and I am sure that it had been discovered here already a zillion times, only that I cannot find the threads in any archive - how does Jetspeed compare to Cocoon? I have a list of requirements which I try to cover. Maybe the most important one is that I need to write packages which can also be supported by standalone applications. I guess that turbine (e.g. the DBConnectionPool) can be used in a way to do this. Currently I am getting the opinion that jetspeed might pose to much of a restriction on me, when it comes to create interoperability with legacy applications, because it uses a certain architecture model. So far I have not managed to get Cocoon to run with Tomcat 4.0, but I would be interested in general opinions about the two and if there are efforts to combine them.
