Subject - Invitation for Child Rights Workshop Venue - JAIN DHARAMSALA, Near Sadar Hospital, Nawada Date - 15th June 2009, (10.00 am 4.00 pm) We are representing Janhit Vikas Samiti (JVS), which is working in Magadh region of Bihar on the agenda of child rights and education rights of the children of poorest, marginalized, socially excluded community groups and children living in difficult circumstances. JVS is also coordinating Ahar Pyne Bachao Abhiyan in Magadh Region of Bihar for conservation and protection of water resource by revival of traditional irrigation system in rural locations. As part of Child Rights and Education Rights intervention of the organization, JVS is organizing Child Rights Workshop (Child Rights & our responsibility) on 15th June 2009 at Nawada. The purpose of the programme is to create awareness about the child rights issues among community members, associated stakeholders and NGOs functionaries. The workshop will initiate the discussion on roles & responsibility of Members of Child Welfare Committee and Juvenile Justice Board in protecting the child rights in the areas. The workshop will be also effective in propagating the agenda of giving special social status to children. JVS is inviting Mr. Ramdeo Prasad, Chaiman, Child Labour Commission, Government of Bihar as chief guest of the programme. Mr. Ranjan Jha, Project Director, NCLP, Nawada, Mrs Renu Sinha, Member, JJ Board Selection Commiteee, Government of Bihar and Mr. Yogendra Bhakt, I.A.S., DM, Nawada and other representatives from District Administration will also participate in the programme. We request you to participate in the workshop or send your representatives for attending the workshop.
