Bill Deville was trying his luck as a door-to-door salesman. 

He knocked on the front door of a house, and heard a faint, high pitched, "Come in!"

He tried the door and it was locked, so he went around to the back door. He knocked 
and heard the high pitched, "Come in!" once more.

As Bill entered the kitchen a large, mean, snarling Dobermann met him. He plastered 
himself against the wall and called out for help.
  
Again, he heard "Come in!"

Bill slid down the wall to the living room to see a parrot in cage.  

The parrot says, "Come in!"

Bill said, "Is that all you can say, you stupid bird, 'Come in!'?"

The parrot squawked and said "Kill! Kill! Kill!"
