Hi ScottI have had the same problem without a 1394 interface on my laptop at all, but uninstalling WinPcap has solved the problem of crashing Kaboodle during network discovery.

Jeff: Yes, some users have been able to disable the 1394 interface in WinXP such that WinPcap would work correctly with Kaboodle. If you determine a workable solution...please post it!
