It'd be okay--I wrote my MS thesis in it. Downsides are the fairly ugly syntax and most of all, the maddeningly cryptic error messages the preprocessor sometimes produces. I never really felt like I had sufficient mastery of LaTeX to diagnose general syntax problems--DocBook, on the other hand, is fairly trivial. Any of these, or even maybe FrameMaker, would be miles ahead of Word as a book format, IMO. I'm amazed that anyone can even write a book in Word. --Mike -- Mike Coleman, [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.mathdogs.com
